| Stormie wins BEST IN SHOW at the Toy Fox Terrier Kennel Club show in Wapakoneta Ohio 11-25-11 |
| Every dog has a story and every breeder starts somewhere. For us the story is all about Stormie! Stormie is our foundation bitch here at PenDachs but there is truly more to say about that. In April 2006 I drove to Michigan and met Amy Clark of TAC Dachshunds. I purchased Dash who became my first show Dachshund. I was so pleased with Dash that a few months later I went back and got his sister Indy. Dash and Indy's mother is Stormie. In 2010 Indy was bred and gave us Kizzy. To our great luck our friend Amy decided to take a break from breeding to focus on her children. Having developed a good friendship with her and having met Stormie a few times and being so drawn to her I asked if I could bring Stormie to my home to live and thankfully Amy said yes! In Feb. 2011 I made the trip to Michigan to get Stormie and she's been an amazing addition to my home. We were given the opportunity to breed Stormie one last time. In Feb. 2012 she gave birth to a litter of 2 puppies. One of those pups is our girl Scribbles. Even though we didn't start out with Stormie as our first dog she has become the foundation to our breeding program. I could never thank Amy enough for the wonderful gift of Stormie. This dog is my heart and soul and I can't imagine what my home was like before she was here and she will remain with us forever. Stormie is more than a fantastic mother and companion. She is a phenomenal show dog! She finished her AKC title at 13 months of age with Amy handling her. Since coming to live with us she has earned her UKC title, a Best In Show win, several group placements, and has obtained points toward her AKC Grand Champion title. Since she loves to show we will continue to show her from time to time as long as she enjoys it. THANK YOU AMY!!! |
