PenDachs “All Natural Dachshunds” REQUIRE that ALL puppy Buyers feed a RAW meat based diet to their puppies.
We also require that none of our puppies are to be Microchipped. Doing so will void all warranties!
WE ALSO REQUIRE THAT NO VACCINATIONS OTHER THAN RABIES BE GIVEN UNLESS REQUIRED BY LAW!!!!!!
PenDachs “All Natural Dachshunds” (Breeder) offers this puppy to Buyer as a Show/Breeding prospect. That means at
the time of purchase, this puppy displays no disqualifying show faults. Buyer understands that this puppy will be
registered to the Buyer and that Breeder will be listed as co-owner until the time that this puppy receives its AKC
Championship title. At that time breeder will sign full ownership of puppy over to the buyer. This is to ensure that no
pups are produced and registered prior to the puppy being finished.
1. Buyer understands that it is the wish of the Breeder that this puppy is shown in the conformation ring with the goal of
completing the requirements for an AKC Championship title. If Buyer chooses to show this dog/bitch as a “Special” and
it places in the top 10 in the United States in AKC points in any given year then Buyer will then refund $50 of the
purchase price.
2. Buyer agrees that this puppy will obtain it’s AKC Championship title prior to being used as a breeding dog/bitch.
Buyer agrees to forward a copy of the AKC Championship title to the Breeder within 30 days of obtaining it from AKC.
3. Buyer agrees that this puppy must have its eyes CERF’D for any hereditary diseases and receive clearance prior to
being used as a breeding dog/bitch. Buyer will register results with the Canine Eye Registration Foundation and provide
Breeder with a copy of this paperwork within 30 days of receiving it from CERF.
4. Buyer agrees that this puppy will have its Patellas manipulated by a licensed veterinarian and given a rating of at
least good prior to being used as a breeding dog/bitch. A statement from that veterinarian is to be provided to the
breeder within 30 days of exam.
5. This puppy will be registered to the buyer with the breeder listed as co-owner. The Breeder will sign over rights to
the buyer once the puppy has completed it’s AKC championship title and all requirements 1 thru 4 above have been
met. At this point the new owner may breed this dog/bitch if so desired. Breeder will not sign off on any breeding until
Championship status is achieved. For the life of this dog/bitch it may only be bred to another dog/bitch that also meets
the AKC standard for the breed and is AKC registered. Any puppies produced BEFORE this puppy is finished will result
in a $1000 fine PER PUPPY and that money will be paid to the breeder and this puppy will be returned to the breeder
and the papers will be signed back into her name immediately!
6. Breeder will handle the puppy in the show ring for the Buyer at shows she plans to attend if Buyer wishes provided it
does not interfere with the Breeder showing her own dogs. There will be no charge for this service. Entry fees will be
paid by the Buyer.
7. This puppy is being sold with FULL AKC registration. The puppy’s name must begin with PenDachs. There is a
theme for this litter therefore Buyer must follow the theme guidelines by choosing a registered name that has the
number 2 within it. It must be written in numerical form and not spelled out. Also, the initials “SS” which stand for
standard smooth must fall at the end of the name. For example….“PenDachs 2 Good To Be True SS” Call name is at
the discretion of the buyer. Buyer will name the puppy and inform the Breeder of that name. Buyer will endorse a check
to AKC at time of purchase of the puppy for the cost of registration. Breeder will submit the paperwork to AKC.
8. If this is a male puppy he will not be bred before 2 years of age even if he has met all requirements stated previously.
9. If this is a bitch puppy she will not be bred before 2 years of age even if she has met all requirements stated
previously.
10. Buyer agrees that any offspring produced by this dog or bitch will NEVER be sold to pet shops, brokers, puppy
mills, or unethical breeders. Buyer will carefully screen all potential homes for the puppies. All pet quality puppies will
be sold on a strict no breeding contract!
11. If any disqualifying faults develop on this puppy between 12-18 months of age, Buyer is to contact Breeder
immediately detailing the faults. Buyer will then bring the puppy to the Breeder for evaluation at Buyers expense. If
Breeder is in agreement about the fault(s) she will refund 25% of the actual price (not including shipping fees) and
Buyer retains puppy as a non breedable pet or may sell the puppy as a pet after he/she has been spayed or neutered.
This home must first be approved by the Breeder. The refund shall be paid once Buyer provides Breeder with proof
that the puppy has been spayed/neutered. Refund will only be offered if this puppy has not been bred.
Breeder does not make any guarantees beyond those in this agreement.
1. This puppy is guaranteed to be a pure-bred Dachshund and is registered with AKC. A copy of the puppy’s pedigree
is included in the puppy pack.
2. Breeder guarantees to the best of her knowledge this puppy is in good health and free of any communicable
diseases. If any serious health problem is found with this puppy during the first 72 hours after Buyer takes possession,
the puppy may be returned for a refund minus the non-refundable deposit. This does not include parasites, coccidia,
parvo, or diarrhea. Transportation of the puppy back to the breeder is the sole responsibility of the Buyer and puppy
must be in the same condition as when received at time of purchase in order to receive a refund. Return must take
place within 5 days.
3. After the initial 72 hours, Breeder provides a standard 1 year guarantee to replace the puppy (when one is available)
if a serious congenital/hereditary disorder is found by two unassociated veterinarians that will seriously impact the
quality of life or require daily, continuous medical treatment for the course of the puppy’s life. Breeder must be notified
within 24 hours of this finding or guarantee is void. Both vets must also agree that this condition is hereditary. Breeder
reserves the right to have the puppy examined by her own vet prior to honoring a guarantee.
PenDachs “All Natural” Guarantee….
As you know we highly recommend natural rearing methods of our Dachshunds by limiting vaccinations, flea and tick
preventatives, and providing a balanced raw diet. We feel so strongly about this that those that stick to our “All Natural”
methods will be given a 5 year health guarantee for their puppy. The guarantee will be the same as outlined in numbers
2 and 3 above with the exception of the time difference. Proof can be given by retaining all veterinary receipts, meat
purchases, and any and all other health care related purchases. To receive this guarantee the following criteria must be
met…
1. Buyers must limit vaccinations to only Rabies where required by law. Any Rabies vaccination that is used must be
Killed Virus ONLY. Giving ANY other vaccinations such as but not limited to, Distemper, Adenovirus, Leptospirosis,
Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, Corona virus, Bordetella, Lyme Disease, Giardia, or any other will VOID ALL WARRANTIES
given by Breeder including the one year warranty.
2. A balanced, well researched raw diet must be fed to the puppy including but not limited to raw meaty bones, organs,
muscle meat, etc.
3. NO chemical flea or tick preventative can be used on the puppy. Natural holistic treatments such as diatomaceous
earth, herbal sprays, nematodes, and any other natural treatment is fine.
4. NO heartworm preventative is to be used although natural holistic treatments are fine.
Absolute proof of following the above stipulations must be provided to breeder for this guarantee to be valid. Breeder
reserves the right to refuse this guarantee if I am not 100% satisfied with proof given.
In addition to the 5 year health guarantee…any Buyer who adheres to our ALL NATURAL methods can come back to
PenDachs after 2 years and purchase another puppy at a price reduced by 20% of our current going sales price. IF the
buyer chooses to not vaccinate for Rabies the warranty is extended to 6 years.
Buyer shall exercise reasonable care of this puppy including but not limited to:
1. Puppy MUST LIVE IN THE HOME!
2. Fenced yard if allowed to run off leash
3. Adequate food and water
4. Necessary veterinary/homeopath care
5. Exercise and training to help develop this puppy into a good companion.
Buyer agrees to make reasonable efforts to correct any behavioral issues which might include taking this puppy to
obedience classes and to follow the training procedures outlined in class.
Breeder will refund $20 to Buyer if this puppy obtains its Canine Good Citizen Certificate or Companion Dog title from
AKC during the first two years of taking possession of this puppy. Buyer shall provide a copy of this certificate in order
to obtain the refund.
Breeder will refund $20 to Buyer if this puppy obtains its AKC Championship Title within the first 2 years of taking
possession of this puppy. Buyer shall provide a copy of this certificate in order to obtain the refund.
Breeder will refund $20 if this puppy obtains its Rally Obedience Title within the first 2 years of taking possession of this
puppy. Buyer shall provide a copy of this certificate in order to obtain the refund.
Breeder will refund $20 if this puppy becomes a Service Dog within the first 4 years of taking possession of this puppy.
Buyer shall provide a copy of a training log as well as any test results.
Breeder will refund $20 if this puppy obtains its Therapy Dog Certification within the first 2 years of taking possession of
this puppy. Buyer shall provide a copy of this certificate in order to obtain the refund.
Buyer agrees that at any time during this puppy’s life that it becomes impossible to keep, he/she shall be returned to the
Breeder. Money will not be refunded in this instance but the puppy will be evaluated and placed with another suitable
family or remain with Breeder.
Buyer agrees to never dispose of this puppy at an animal shelter, rescue group, humane society, or animal control
center.
Buyer will not hold Breeder responsible at any time for any accident or injury caused by this puppy.
Buyer agrees to keep in contact with Breeder and let us know of any illness that may develop with this puppy so that we
can keep records for our future breeding program.
Buyer and Breeder stipulate that failure to comply with the conditions of this agreement will result in the puppy being
returned to the Breeder. In such a case, Buyer shall forfeit all money paid on this puppy and will sign over registration
papers immediately to the Breeder. Buyer will also be responsible for paying any other costs that are incurred such as
(but not limited to) attorney fees, court costs, etc. that are required to enforce the conditions of this agreement. Date,
time, and place for returning puppy will be at the discretion of the breeder. If this agreement is handled in court all
proceedings will be done in Ritchie County West Virginia.
We have read, reviewed, and understand the above conditions of sale and agree to all the terms of the agreement.
This puppy IS being sold on a Co-ownership between the Breeder and the Buyer.
